I've found useful and think you might, too!
Fox Faith Movies - Fox
has released a series of films based on
books by Christian authors including Francine
Rivers and Ted Dekker.
Sadly, none of them are currently playing
in my area, but I'm hoping maybe some of
you will be able to support these faith-based

For The Week
“For

so great is his love for those who fear
him;
as

so far has he removed our transgressions

| March
is right around the corner. Spring is on
it's way! It's finally warming up here and
I am SO glad!! I know it's silly, but I
always feel closer to the Lord in the spring.
Watching the brown all around turn to green
reminds me of the sin inside and how God
cleanses us from it. How blessed we are
to have a Lord that loves us enough to cast
our sin "as far as the east is from
the west!" (Psalm
103:12)
Blessings
in Christ,
Jill

Business
Builders
From Fellow CWAHMS |
*
Just a few things that work for me:
1. Always
Believe in yourself
2. Make a
list of your "whys"--Why are you
doing this? I.e. new home, financial security,
more time with family
3. Post the
list or/and pictures in a place you always
look at so you can always remember even
when your down what your working toward.
4. Don't get
emotionally caught up in the "no's"
5. Make sure
your passionate about what your doing, your
products or service--you have to believe
in it to be successful at it--for example
I am passionate about improving my skin
and using pure and safe things on my skin
and in my body as well as for my family.
6. Don't quit
before you give it a chance, most business
whether home or store front takes time--make
sure you give your business that chance
because when you get there, its worth it
all to have a home business that will bring
you an awesome income and will continue
to do so and that's an amazing feeling

Are You Plugged In? |
Getting ready for breakfast
one morning, I got an object lesson that
directly applies to all we do in our Christian
walk. Nothing like starting out the day
with a big “aha!”
My plan was to make some
yummy fruit smoothies for my 3 teenage boys.
Good stuff! It was a good plan. Starting
with orange juice, I poured the ingredients
into the blender. In went some frozen banana
chunks, frozen strawberries, and a few good
plops of vanilla yogurt. It was going to
be a winner!
Pushed the button….nothing
happened. Pushed it again…nothing.
What’s going on? Looking around the
counter, I saw the obvious answer. The cord
wasn’t plugged into the power socket.
I don’t know why that
object lesson hit me so clearly but it did.
You can have the greatest plan in the world,
the greatest opportunity, the greatest motivation.
You can even throw in all the right ingredients…a
winner of a product line, clear marketing
targets, good business plan. But you push
the “go” button and don’t
go anywhere.
Why? Let me ask you, are
you plugged in to the only Power Source
that matters, which is the Holy Spirit?
Did you start your day in prayer, committing
your time, your efforts, and your business
to the Lord? Did you pray for wisdom, guidance,
divine appointments, and how you can be
a blessing to someone today?
Another aspect of being
plugged in is networking with other Christian
entrepreneurs. There are opportunities with
forums online, local networking groups,
and just your own circle of friends to lift
each other up in prayer, encouragement,
and helpful business building ideas.
Don’t make the mistake
of trying to operate without being plugged
in. The most important thing you’ll
do for your business every day is to say
to the Lord, “Here I am. Use me.”
He has more planned for you than you could
even begin to imagine, and it’s for
His glory ultimately.

How can you turn a toilet
paper tube into a hot rod? Take this idea
for a spin.

MATERIALS:
Toilet paper tube
Acrylic paint
Scissors
Hole puncher
Black craft foam
Aluminum foil
Glue
Paper for decorations (optional)
Small paper fasteners
Time needed:
About 2 to 3 Hours
1. Coat the tube with acrylic
paint. When it's dry, mark the location
of the cockpit, steering wheel, and wheels
as shown.
2. Snip out the cockpit
and punch holes at the wheel and steering
wheel marks.
3. Fold the steering wheel
flap down and the other flap up to serve
as a seat back.
4. Cut 4 wheels about the
size of the toilet tube ends and a quarter-size
steering wheel out of black craft foam.
5. Cut 4 quarter-size hubcaps
out of aluminum foil.
6. Punch holes in the centers
of all the circles. Glue the hubcaps onto
the wheels and decorate the steering wheel
with foil accents.
7. Give your mean machine
a custom paint job; we glued on paper decorations
and added numbers as well.
8. When you're ready to
roll, attach the wheels and steering wheel
to the tube with small paper fasteners.
Start your engines!

Book
I
LOVE to read! Each week you'll find
a new Christian book here! |
FEATURED
AUTHOR: KRISTIN BILLERBECK
This month I had the pleasure
to interview bestselling author, Kristin
Billerbeck. A fourth generation California
girl who’s made a name for herself
writing Chick Lit !
Nikki: Hi, Kristin. Welcome. When did you
first feel "called" to write,
and how did that evolve into the writing
life?
Kristin: To tell you the
truth, I still don't know that I feel "called"
to write, but I do it in my sleep. When
I'm not writing books, I write letters to
the editor in my sleep. I constantly want
to communicate something and my mouth doesn't
work nearly as effectively. I wrote my first
book to prove to my husband that I could
finish it. Slowly, steadily, it became a
career, which I was not expecting, but I'm
grateful for because I love it that I get
to suck down espresso at nine p.m. and call
it necessary for my work.
Nikki: Tell us something most people don't
know about you and would be surprised to
learn.
Kristin: I love the PBR
(professional bull riding) and I really
get into it when it's on television. Also,
I really don't care about clothes and shoes,
and dress like a writer for the most part.
In fact, I have this beloved cashmere sweater
that has holes in it and is filthy and my
friend told me yesterday, "Kristin,
I'm going to say something hard, but you
have to hear it. It's time to get rid of
that sweater." I told her, "I'm
not getting rid of this sweater. I like
the statement it makes. It says I reject
your conformity world!"
Nikki: What do you think will people enjoy
most about reading your books? What do you
have in mind for your reader as you write?
Kristin: I think most people
enjoy the humor and the friend relationships
within the book, and hopefully, that I surprise
them with each title because something different
motivates me to write each one. I'm not
content with the romance plot line, I always
want to have something more for my readers
to take away. I try to be subtle in my message.
I take the chance, sometimes people will
miss it, and I get nasty reviews where it's
clear people did, but that's how I work
and I'm not going to change it for those
few.
Nikki: Tell us one of the high points of
your career and what it meant to you?
Kristin: The best day of
my writing career was when I sent "What
a Girl Wants" to a NY agent. He was
an older Jewish man (ie., NOT my market)
and he said, "I laughed out loud several
times. I could sell this in three weeks."
That was better than actually selling it,
believe it or not. The other time was when
I was on the "Today Show" and
the producer said that she'd read the book
and she goes, "This was really well
written. I wasn't expecting that."
I beamed about that for a while.
Nikki: If people want to follow your writing
journey, where are you on the Internet and
what appearances do you have scheduled this
year?
Kristin: I don't really
make "appearances". I mean, unless
you show up at my coffee shop. I sort of
think, who cares? I also have this terrible
problem of saying what I think and my brain
works faster than my mouth, so I don't speak
for fear of what I might say. The good aspect
of that is if I tell you that you look like
you lost weight. Girl, you look like you
lost weight! Kristin
Kristin’s latest release,
Split Ends, will be in bookstores April
2007.
Sneak Peek -
Sarah Claire Winowski was born and raised
in Wyoming, the daughter of the town's most
notorious "other woman" and now,
a hairstylist by trade. Sarah is obsessed
with the Golden Age of Hollywood and plans
to change her fate just as Archie Leach
did (becoming Cary Grant to the world.)
Will momentum thrust her forward, or will
the chains of yesterday bring her home?
A comical journey of realizing one's full
potential.
