Well, we're back to snow again. We got around 4 inches of snow Saturday. Hopefully it will be warm enough to melt the snow quickly. I hope all of you are staying warm! :)

* One way that I boost my business is ALWAYS keep Catalogs and
Flyers with me. You never know when you will run into someone that would be interested in your business. I also have a window cling attached to the backwindows of my Vehicle. On it I also have listed my phone number. That has helped greatly. I am the only Consultant within a 150 mile radius of my home and just by traveling about my daily life, I am promoting.I also Sticker Every postcard, Catalog, envelope etc. that has anything about my business. You don't have to spend lots of money to get your business name out there. But doing it consistently is the key!

1. Bumper stickers
2. Flyers
3. Business cards (self-made or vistaPrint)
4. Put your Company name on T-shirts
5. Message Boards
6. Free Classifieds
7. Ezines
8. Paid Ads
9. Postcards
10. Purchase leads
11. Bookmarks for libraries
12. Co-ops
13. Newsgroups
14. Word of Mouth (friends and family)
15. forward emails (signature lines)

There are lots more ways to advertise. Be creative. The more times you give out a business card, flyer, etc. the better the results. Keep in mind a single person must see your card, flyer, ad, etc. at least 7 times before they will respond.

In my quest to help moms re-claim the joy and become JAHMs (Joy @ Home Moms), I get a lot of requests for fighting off the joy thief of “not enough time”. I personally prioritize my day with JOY. Jesus, Others, Yourself. I call this starting my day off with a cup of Joy.

J = Jesus: I start my day with prayer. Within that prayer, I always ask God to order my day and multiply my time.

O = Others: At the top of my to do list for the day, I write down at least one thing that I will do for someone else. (Not including my family members). Sometimes it is a big thing, like watching someone’s children for a few hours, and other times it is as simple as sending a card or a meal to a new mom. I call this spreading the JOY and when you spread joy, you will receive it.

Y= Yourself: For me, this does NOT mean letting myself slide off the to do list right onto the floor to become the door matt. It means just the opposite. Make time for at least one thing that is just for you. It could be to exercise, paint your toe nails bright pink, indulge in a favorite magazine, …. you get the idea. Intentionally schedule yourself into your day each and every day.

So start the morning with a cup of JOY and watch your day fall into order and your time be multiplied.

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup water
1 cup molasses
¼ tsp. salt
2 tablespoons butter
4 ounces chocolate, melted
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, syrup, water, molasses, salt, and butter. Cook slowly and stir constantly until it boils. Cook until it’s approximately 300 degrees. Pour into buttered pan and then pour chocolate over. Fold candy towards the center. Add vanilla and continue folding until cool enough to pull. Pull until cold and then cut into pieces.

Corral kids' books and CDs with these colorful cardboard cases.

MATERIALS:
• Empty, large laundry-soap box
• Colored paper
• Glue
• Felt
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Markers, stickers or colored tape

Time needed: About 2 to 3 Hours

1. With scissors, cut off the top half of the box and discard it. Then cut the bottom portion of the box in half vertically to create two open-face cases.

2. Use a pencil to trace around the sides and back of each case onto a piece of colored paper. Cut out the paper tracings and glue them onto the outsides of the cases. Then cut out felt pieces to cover the undersides of the cases and glue them on.

3. Now decorate the cases to suit their individual tastes with stickers, colored tape, glitter glue or original drawings.
