| Spring
is in the air! I can't wait for the air
to warm up a bit more and for the green
to start peeking out of the brown all around
me. This time of year always makes me feel
like good things are waiting right around
the corner. It inspires to me do things
I don't even like to do - like spring cleaning.
:) It also inspires me to get my business
back in gear and finish projects...sort
of like "business spring cleaning,"
I guess. How about you? Are you ready to
give your business a kick start this month?
Let's do it!
Blessings,
Jill

Business
Builders
From Fellow CWAHMS |
*
Here is something I came up with to remind
me how to perservere in my home based candle
business.
Practice Consistency.
Educate myself about my product line.
Respect others, even when they reject me.
Seek advice from my mentors.
Enrich my thoughts with belief that "Yes,
I can do this!"
Vision is a must to succeed. Write it down!
Look at it daily!
Endure even when I want to give up.
Reach beyond my wildest dreams.
Enjoy myself every single day!

CWAHM Monthly Devotional - March 2007 |
God's Patience
“But the fruit of
the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
and self-control. Against such things there
is no law.”
Galatians 5:21-23 (NIV)
The kids are sick, I have
a fever, my husband is out of town for the
week and to top it all off today we had
a blizzard…..and possibly tomorrow,
too. I wish I was making this up and was
going to use it as an example, but sadly,
this is my reality right now. :)
And yet, God is teaching
me through these things. I’m learning
how to be patient with my children even
though I’m sick (and they’re
sick, too). I’m learning that I’m
not perfect – a lesson I’ve
been learning for years and may never fully
grasp. I’m learning how much I rely
on my husband and how I need to appreciate
that more.
Most of all I’m learning
how to rely on the Lord. I can honestly,
humbly say that I can do nothing without
Him. What a precious gift He’s given
us to be able to fully rely on Him –
in times of need and in times of joy. No
matter what, He’s always there for
us. Always patient with us.
Lord, may I learn to be
more like You day by day. Thank You for
Your patience with me and for loving me
even when I’m at my worst.

You and your child can create
a buzz about your garden with this bright
bottle bee.

MATERIALS:
Black electrical tape
Button nose
Double-sided foam tape
Googly eyes
16-gauge wire
Pliers
Large nail
Bamboo plant stake
Plastic mesh canvas
Hole punch
Mustard bottle
Time needed:
About an hour
1. First, wrap strips of
black electrical tape around a clean, empty
9-ounce yellow squeeze-style mustard bottle
(labels removed). Add a face by using double-sided
foam tape to attach large googly eyes and
a black button nose to the bottom of the
bottle.
2. For the antennae, cut
two 4-inch pieces of 16-gauge wire and curl
the ends with pliers. Use a pushpin or a
small nail (parents only) to poke 2 holes
near the bottom edge of the container and
slip in the wires.
3. Next, use a large nail
to make 2 holes directly opposite each other
in the top and bottom of the bee, then push
a bamboo plant stake through the holes.
For wings, cut a butterfly shape from a
sheet of plastic mesh canvas (available
at craft stores; our wings were 6 inches
across at their widest point).
4. Use a hole punch to make
a hole in the center, then push the wings
onto the stake and plant the bee in an outdoor
pot or in your garden.
