Verse
For The Week
“But
after he had considered this, an angel of
the Lord appeared to him in a dream and
said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid
to take Mary home as your wife, because what
is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to
give him the name Jesus, because he will
save his people from their sins.”

Will
You Be Having a White Christmas?
Here in Nebraska,
we have a few inches of snow on the ground
and it looks like more is on the way this
weekend. So, it looks like it will be a
white Christmas here. How about where you
live? Is Christmas cold and white or sunny
and green? I'd love to see pics of your
Christmas wonderland if you'd like to share!
Email them to me (jill@cwahm.com) and I'll

Customer service is key for my business. A
happy customer – is hopefully – a repeat
customer! I ship when I say I will and
package my items so they arrive in the same
condition they left my house - I think it is
an important way to show how much I value
them (my customer). I answer emails
promptly, and offer solutions when there is
a problem – if we can work something out it
benefits both of us. For multiple items
purchased I offer shipping discounts or
combined shipping to help them save some
money. I love what I do and I want to pass
that passion on to my customers.

From Fear to Faith
by
Takiela Bynum |
What is it that makes us fearful? The answer
to this question can be overwhelming. In the
society that we live in today the growing
amount of phobias people are bound with seem
endless. From the unimaginable fear to the
secretly harbored fear, everyone has
experienced this emotion of anxious concern
on all different types of levels.
Fear is paralyzing. It renders its victims
powerless. The most courageous person can be
brought to their knees because of fear.
Prisoners are easily identified; the
indicators are the chains, shackles, attire,
etc. Fear's prisoners also have
distinctions. Eyes are downcast, heads are
hung, and shoulders are slumped due to the
weight of fear and its heavy burden.
Fear is begetting of other
strongholds such as insecurities and low
self-esteem. However, for the believers of
God, there is hope. Our ammunition to combat
against fear is faith. One cannot walk
out on faith if they are standing in fear.
Faith will cause you to step out into the
unknown and believe and trust in God. God is
faithful, and because we are created in His
image and likeness, we too must learn to be
full of faith.
Faith grows, and the growth and
development of your faith takes time. Your
faith grows by being tried. Each trial you
go through stretches your faith a little
more. By the time you come to the next
trial, you'll have a little more faith than
you did when you went through the last
trial.
Faith is simply believing and
trusting, though it doesn't always seem
simple at all. No, you may not know what to
do next, but believe and trust that God
does. No, you may not know how you're going
to make it out of a certain situation, but
believe and trust that God knows. After all,
He is the author and finisher of our faith.
He knew you before you were created in your
mother's womb. He knew the end from the
beginning. Exercise the faith that He
instilled in you. Believe…trust…have faith.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
The Lord has wrought miracles through the
life of Takiela Bynum. Life’s circumstances
ignited a blaze, and reduced her broken
spirit to ashes. She has been restored from
cremation and beautified with salvation.
Takiela wrote at her leisure as a tween, and
her work proved as evidence of incipient
literary composer. God had a purpose for her
pleasure…to minister. One must first be hurt
in order to be healed, held captive in order
to be freed, and cast down to be exalted,
that is the basis of her prose. She has
novels and poetry that are pending
publication.
The Lord exchanged the ashes of her life for
His beauty, indeed.
Takiela has been married for over ten years
to Minister Marterrio Bynum. They have three
children and reside in Nebraska. Learn more

If there's one craft kids can't resist, it's
sculpting. Children are born to squish, roll
and stick stuff together.

MATERIALS:
2 cups mild, powdered laundry detergent
(we tested and recommend Ivory Snow Ultra)
1/2 cup water
Toothpicks
Twigs, cloves, buttons, felt, seed beads,
tempera paints, egg carton and pipe cleaner
Time needed: Under 1 Hour
1. To mix up a batch of faux snow,
pour the Ivory Snow into a bowl, add the
water and whip with an electric beater until
doughy.
2.
Shape the damp soap into three balls. Stack
them by gently pushing a toothpick halfway
into the center of the bottom ball. Then,
push the middle ball down onto the toothpick
until the two balls touch. Do the same for
the snowman's head.
3. Now, add twig arms,
clove eyes, shirt buttons and a felt scarf.
To make a smiling mouth, press on a row of
seed beads. For a mini carrot nose, color
the tip of a short twig with orange paint.
Top off the snowman with an egg-cup hat or a
set of pipe-cleaner earmuffs. As the soap
dries (this can take a few hours), it will
lose its grayish tinge and turn bright
white.

Book
I
LOVE to read! Each week you'll find
a new Christian book here! |
Finding Father Christmas
by Robin Jones Gunn
It’s snowing
here in Nebraska, so I decided it was time
to find a great Christmas book to help get
myself into the Christmas spirit. Robin
Jones Gunn’s novella Finding Father
Christmas did just that.
It’s just a
few days before Christmas and Miranda Carson
has just arrived in England on a spur of the
moment trip. She’s in search of a father she
isn’t sure exists and her only clues are a
few mementos left from her mother’s
belongings. Miranda doesn’t have much to go
on, but she knows she’ll regret it if she
doesn’t at least attempt to uncover the
truth.
When Miranda is befriended by a family
that may hold the key to her secrets, she
has a difficult decision to make. Should she
open up and risk the possibility of forever
changing this family she’s grown to love or
should she leave and risk never finding the
truth?
The book
started off a bit slow and I was afraid for
a few pages that I wasn’t going to enjoy it.
I’m glad I kept reading, though, because
only a few chapters in I was hooked. The
story is intriguing and the setting is
enchanting. And the best part is Gunn has a
sequel planned entitled Engaging Father
Christmas. So, I know I’ll have a great read
for next Christmas, too!
