I would like to ask for continued prayer on a situation I brought up a few months ago..
We've decided that Sam's school, a Christian private one, is the best place for him since he's really blossoming and growing, so we've enrolled him there for another year...
But the church just doesn't seem to be a good fit. My husband especially says he feels more spiritually fed at our former church, which we're thinking of going back to, then our present one. In our present church, there is no children's church and Sam will not sit through a service. It's been suggested that I try to start a children's church, but not sure if it will be received well, not sure I'll have the energy, or it will solve the problem... Personally, if it were just me, I'd go back to this other church in a shot...I feel more able to worship there with my whole heart, I believe in their mission. Yet, at the present church, I am able to use my talents as a singer and they need my strong voice! I could sing specials there if I want to, too...
But if we leave this present church, then we'll lose our discount and have to pay more for Sam's schooling. The extra money is not going to be easy to come by!
So, I am asking for prayer for:
1) Clarity to make a final decision whether to stay in the current church or go back to the former one;
2) That we will trust that God will provide either way, especially if we leave the church!
Praise God, I am working more closely with a friend of mine and she is mentoring me. I just completed a little job for the school that brought me some money! And my husband is studying for his architectural license exams, which will eventually mean a better job or money. So please pray for him, too!!!
