My daughter's best friend has been having headaches for quite a while and often misses school because of them. She is in the hospital right now having blood work done and last night they found a tumor on her brain. I just found out about it ten minutes ago.

If you could please pray for healing in addition to peace and comfort for the family through this difficult time, I would so appreciate it. We are heading up to the hospital after school...I am dreading telling my daughter.

On the upside, we've been through this with Rob's nephew, who had a brain aneurysm and doctors gave a 1% chance of making it through surgery. That was over a year ago. Brentlee made it through and is a normal 12 year old! We know what God can do and we won't lose hope.

Thanks so much for your prayers.

I'll be pray for her healing & for her family. now is it a tumor or an aneurysm? there is a difference between the two. A tumor is a mass of cells, an aneurysm is the thickening of a blood vessel that balloons out.My youngest daughter, has an aneurysm & is being treated for it. There is a difference in treatments. Hugs & God Bless.

Thanks for your prayers, Rosalee. She does have a tumor. I know that is much different than an aneurysm, which my husband's nephew had. It's treated differently but my main point there was that nothing is too big for God! Our nephew was given less than a 1% chance to pull through. His surgery was the first of its kind ever performed on a child. And he's fine! We're believing the same for Alexis's tumor.

The surgery was actually canceled, or at least postponed. The doctors seem to think they may be able to shrink the tumor with medication or radiation. They didn't want to invade the area unless necessary. She did have a seizure the other day because of sodium levels in her system. For now, she's still in the hospital. The "tumor board" is meeting tomorrow to further discuss her case. I should know more then.

Thanks again - so much - for your thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated!

Hugs...

That's the same treatment that Dr's are using on my daughter- she wasn't sure at first if it was an aneurysm or a tumor & she has a tumor & so is being treated for that - as a tumor. She's on meds of course & is feeling better every day and I hope the same for your daughter, that she to will be healed. You're right- there's nothing God can't handle- if we believe, I understand your point.
Hugs & blessings your way.
