Deposition Services, Inc., a full service court reporting and transcription company in business for over 30 years, is currently recruiting legal transcribers to work from home.
To be eligible for a position, you must:
- Be able to type at least 75 words per minute (you will be tested)
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (you will be tested)
- Have basic to intermediate knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Be highly motivated and willing to learn new things
- Prior medical or legal transcription experience is preferred but not required
You must be willing to come to Rockville, MD for testing, orientation and training (a minimum of 4 times), after which you will work at home. Flexible hours with full-time equivalent work available.
Individuals interested in this opportunity must prepare a brief response that is no less than 100 words and no more than 300 words explaining why they believe they would be a good work-at-home legal transcriber. The response should outline prior relevant experience, familiarity with medical and legal terms, and computer knowledge, at a minimum. The response must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc only).
