Hello everyone! I am new to this board and I am so happy to have found it! I pulled my 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter out of school earlier this year and began homeschooling them and I LOVE it! I want to continue to HS them and if I can have a job that pays atleast $1200 a month (or more) by the beginning of next school year, I know he will gladly allow me to continue to HS them. Our home is too small to watch children and I can't afford to pay for a work at home system that won't work. I am not afraid of hard work, I just don't know what is legit and what isn't anymore. I am tired of getting ripped off by work at home scams! I feel this huge sense of urgency because I know it will take some time and I want to be bringing in the income sooner than later!

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Hi! I hope that your hubby will see the light and that no amount of money can be worth sending your children to public school. Even some private schools can be hazardous to children and their spirituality (as many of them are strapped for cash and often end up with children that are "kicked out of" public school.)

I certainly understand your not wanting to waste money on a home biz that won't work.

I would recommend that you check out

http://www.danijohnson.com

She is a homeschool mom of 5 and a lead trainer in the home business industry. She has several free resources for you to listen to (she won't tell you what home biz she is involved in - so its not a recruiting site), and I believe that there is at least one telling you how to pick a home business. She also has a site called http://www.risetosuccess.com that is her Christian site where she helps spiritually equip you to be a Christian witness in the marketplace.

I'll be praying for you!
Stefani

Welcome. Praying that the Lord will lead you to just the right situation and provide for all your needs. Today I looked at my 4th grader and just wanted to cry with thanksgiving that we get to be home together every day.

I just started homeschooling, too! It is SOOO much better than "out-school" as my DS8 calls it!

My advice would be this:

1) Pray with your husband about where He wants your children to be. If it is homeschooling, He will provide!

2) As far as a WAH job, start by exploring what you are passionate about. What are your interests? What are your life experiences? What are your talents? What are your gifts? What is your mission in life? What are your dreams? Use these answers, with much prayer, to be determine what your callings are. This will help you weed out those opportunities that you shouldn't waste your time on and will bring you focus as you seek out a viable option for you.

3) Remember, investing in yourself and your family is the best option. Whenever possible, build your own dream. Perhaps you need to gain experience working as an associate for another company, but make sure your passions and interests line up with what they sell. That will keep you motivated!

Hope that helps!

Hey there..

Check the Telecommuting folder for job postings, also the business folder for some home business options.

I've been homeschooling for 9 yrs....and working at home for 10 yrs. It is possible!!

Hang in there, let me know if I can help.

Hello!

I am new here too and so excited to find other moms who homeschool and work from home. I have been working from home for over 6 years and we are in our 4th year of homeschooling. Once you start it's really hard to think of putting them back in. I earn a reliable residual income... it's not easy but simple and I can show you if you like.
