We are working our way through the Old Testament this year. We are currently in Exodus and the Israelites have just crossed the Red Sea. This morning the kids woke up to "manna" (popcorn) spread out all across a blanket on the living room floor. It was their breakfast, mid-morning snack, and will be "lunch" (though I will feed them a real meal about 1/2 hour later, once they have given up on thinking they will ever get anything besides their mana) to drive home the points of not grumbling, of being thankful for the variety God has given us, but also how God met the needs of His people always.
Tonight we are having small fowl for dinner as our "quail".
