A good friend of mine makes the MayFlowers Natural line that is wonderful. I especially love the moisturizer and often mix it with a drop of honey and apply to my face right after a warm shower. Also makes a great moisturizer for my ever-dry feet!

And while not traditional "skincare" the best thing I ever did for ance was start using mineral makeup without fillers or additives. There are a lot of brands out there, but try to avoid lines that contain bismuth, talc, cornstrach or anything but basic mineral ingredients. I went from a painful cystic ance-like rash all over my cheeks to beautiful skin in just a couple of weeks of starting mineral makeup!

Ciera, what have you used in the past and what did you like/not like about them? What is your skin type (dry, oily, combination) or any specific needs you are tying to address? I also wanted to mention a really great book called "Beauty Secrets of the Bible". The author, Ginger Garrett has a website at http://www.gingergarrett.com I also enjoy a natural beauty message board at http://www.glowingdiva.com/ that's full of great information on skin care!

I didn't want to turn my post into an advertisement. :D The link is in my signature.

L'Bri is a natural, aloe-based skin care system. All of their products start with aloe vera instead of water as the main ingredient.

<hanging head in shame>

I do not have a skin care routine. For the last 35 years- my face gets washed in the shower like the rest of me. But- I've been blessed not to have acne or major skin issues- so, my thing is.."If it's not broke, don't fix it"

Right now I use Arbonne. I have rosacea and it seems to be helping. At least my skin is more smooth!

I like the Isagenix's IsaDermix skin care line. I love the vitamin C serum.

I was using Votre Vu, but I've gone back to the simple Oil of Olay and Aveeno. I had some Aveeno given to me when I was a missionary last year and am just now using it. It's working pretty well.

So what is your skin type / texture ? I'm 39, and up until I had my daughters had clear, smooth (although sensitive) skin. I'm not blaming them :D - just noting that I've had a drastic shift in hormones which has played out on my face. Lovely... I now have a regular experience with rough patches, large pores (around my nose), lots of fine lines around my eyes, and generally dry skin.

I began using Nicole Miller's line of products (Melaleuca) a year ago - and while I loved the natural ingredients, it just didn't "fit" my skin. So I started looking for natural-based homemade skin care and am customizing my own regimen. That may seem time consuming, but I have been using a basic Vitamin E cream as a moisturizer for less than a week and can already feel the softness returning to my skin. For me - it's working. It's not expensive, and I like it. I have also just started using coconut oil(virgin, unrefined) which is moisturizing to my skin without being greasy. Having used Melaleuca's products for a year now, I've had a lot of time to research products and am finding ways to choose more naturally-derived products every chance I get. I'm still using my NM cleanser, but am looking to make my own soon.

To find out more about products you are interested in, check out Skin Deep- a website where you can research cosmetics and skin care products and the ingredients they contain. You might be surprised by what you find...

I use products from The Body Shop. I like that they are all natural and support fair trade.

Every since Watkins introduce their new skin line products a little while ago, I have been using them. I just love it! I love the look and the feeling of my skin! :D

I just found one I REALLY like. I didn't think I would ever get to use skin care products again because I've developed rosacea over the years and basically can't use anything except a Neutrogena water based lotion. I responded to a TV ad about Murad.....and got their line for menopausal women. I thought I would try a small sample of it (I know my hormonal levels are low and I'm on prescription), and I was stunned that it didn't cause my rosacea to flare. It's really helped to reduce wrinkles and I've really been impressed.

I use Cetaphil. Very boring, and I discovered it when I was trying to manage my baby daughter's eczema. It's the only thing I've found that doesn't make my skin break out. I can even use their facial moisturizer... it's the only one I've ever been able to use without breaking out.

I use Arbonne. I especially like the Thermal Fusion Masque - it does a fantastic job of deep pore cleaning for my skin type. I've also used a natural line from Whole Foods called Zia (I believe), which also worked pretty well. But I haven't found something as good as the masque from Arbonne.

I'm pretty simple. I use St.Ives facial cleaner for sensitive skin and moisturize with Oil of Olay. That's it. So far, so good. :D

I use the Zap It pack from my company. I have tried it ALLLLLL - Proactive, Phisoderm, AcneFree - I never had a break out till I was pregnant. Then it cleared up, then came back about 6 months ago. Adult acne, YUCK. Nothing else has worked except the Zap It. Even a prescription pill! That was enough to sell me on the products we have, lol. Acne hurts!

I don't do anything.
Wash my face with soap and water and that's it for me.

Tara....doesn't that dry out your face? Using soap? I have a lot of dry areas and I have to consistently use a moisturizer.

You're very lucky

I have combination skin...oily and both dry areas. And I have occasional break outs.
