I was in a side collision a few weeks ago and now I have whiplash. I am in constant pain. I am feeling hopeless right now. Don't feel like doing anything. Just want to give up on everything!

I see chiropractor for adjustment tomorrow. This will be a 6-8 week process. My son, who is 7, has a little whiplash, too.

Please also pray for wisdom as I deal with all the paperwork. The other driver's car insurance has accepted full liability since she was at fault, but I am sure there will be challenges to work out.

I am feeling less pain! Thank God! The Lord and my chiropractor are taking good care of me!

The unknown is how the insurance coverage will work out. Please pray for that situation. And to make up for all the lost time. I am so behind on all my work and so overwhelmed! I am supposed to start homeschooling our son very soon and we have yet to organize the schoolroom!!!!

I'm so sorry. I just prayed for you and the situation as well.

I was hit about 5 years ago and had severe whiplash (it was a miracle I didn't break my neck, I was hit at about 50 mph), and had alot of insurance issues as well, the guy who hit me had no insurance and I had a lot of lost worktime.

Sometimes insurance will cover to help you with household duties that has caused you to fall behind/lost work. You'll need to check into what their guidelines are however.

Don't push too hard too fast. I know it's a slow recovery and it's very frustrating when all you can see is what you're not able to get done, but if you push too much too fast, it'll hinder the healing process. Trust me. Another thing I found extremely helpful to healing with massage, if that's a possibility for you.

The chiro is helping and I have been referred to a massage therapist. Going to check out a water aerobic class.

Life is even more complicated with a heal spur on one foot and a bone bruise on the other foot! Yikes!

As for pushing myself, yes, it's easy to do! I'm glad if nothing else I can work on my computer while lying in bed!

I feel very overwhelmed with relatives coming to visit next weekend and the housework that needs to be done for that, getting the house ready for homeschooling, yardwork, on and on. But I just try to do one thing at a time.
